PROOF OF LIFE
The life I am living is proof of something to my kids.
I hope it’s proof of what is possible.
That adulthood isn’t just commutes, hierarchy, and meetings.
That a meaningful life must be earned.
By trying, failing, and learning.
That none of your story ever goes to waste. That all of your experiences belong to you.
That there are lessons in our mistakes, our victories, and our happiness.
I hope they notice that my stories aren’t just from 20 years ago.
“Back in high school...”
Nah, I have a gash on my toe from just this summer after tucking the front end on my bike.
Then they watched me chuckle with some ice and a bandage.
I hope it’s proof of life.
A fit body, a calm mind, and a house full of love—these things cannot be bought, they must be earned.” - Naval
